Digestive Wellness Foundation is a Section 8 charitable company registered under the Companies Act, 2013, of India. We work to make digestive and metabolic healthcare more accessible to communities in Tier II India through education, direct community programmes, and research.
To improve the long-term digestive and metabolic health of communities in Tier II India by combining trusted public education, accessible community-based clinical programmes, and evidence-generating research that informs clinical and public-health practice.
We believe that gaps in digestive and metabolic health are not solved by hospitals alone. They are solved by trustworthy education in the language families speak at home, by community partnerships that bring care to where people live, and by research that produces evidence specific to the populations we serve. Each of our programmes is designed to combine at least two of these three ingredients.
Programmes are designed using published clinical evidence and current practice guidelines. Public-facing content is reviewed by practising specialists. We acknowledge what we do not know.
Our programmes are designed with community partners, not delivered to communities. Local hospitals, schools, and organisations shape what we do and how we do it.
Our community-facing work is delivered primarily in Marathi and Hindi. Plain language, free of jargon, but never simplified to the point of inaccuracy.
Annual independent audited financial statements. Programme reports published openly. No paid promotion of products or services.
DWF is governed by a Board of Trustees. The Board oversees programme strategy, financial integrity, and compliance with all statutory requirements applicable to a Section 8 company.
